If you are taking a rideshare to the venue, it is recommended to pre-schedule your departure from the Homestead after the wedding, as there can be delays.

What’s the dress code?

Bright, bold, and a little bit fancy. Cocktail to formal attire with florals, funky prints, and colors encouraged. Basically, if your outfit makes you feel like you belong in a rom-com montage, perfect.

What's the weather like?

We're praying it's beautiful for our outdoor ceremony; however, we have an indoor space for backup. We won't know until it gets closer to the date, as this time of year can be a bit unpredictable. Last year on this day, it was 66°F average, with lows about 60°F. Typical for February in Willis: average high about 67 °F, average low around 43 °F. Check the weather, but plan for highs in the 60s and lows near the 40s. The day should be beautifully mild, but it’s Texas in February—so a light jacket won’t hurt.

Can I bring a plus-one?

If your invitation lists “+ Guest,” absolutely. Otherwise, we’ve planned a cozy guest list so we can celebrate with our nearest and dearest.

Are kids invited?

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can take the night to relax, dance, and enjoy a well-deserved evening out. Thank you for understanding and helping us create the best experience for everyone.

DO WE HAVE A REGISTRY?

What’s the deal with the bar?

We’ve set a bar tab that includes a champagne toast for everyone, so the bubbles are on us. After that, the bar will switch to cash. Survival of the thirstiest.

Is there a smoking or outside alcohol policy?

Yes. Please NO smoking within 20ft of the venue, and absolutely NO outside alcohol of any kind, including minis, flasks, or “creative” containers. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT GET US KICKED OUT ON OUR SPECIAL DAY!!!

The Woodlands is our top recommendation. It’s a perfect middle ground between where Amber grew up (Tomball, Magnolia, and Spring areas) and our wedding venue, The Homestead in Willis. The Woodlands has everything — beautiful hotels, tons of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, all within walking distance. You won’t even need a car to explore!

Conroe is another option and only about 10–20 minutes from The Homestead. It has nice, affordable hotels like the Hyatt Regency Conroe, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Margaritaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe — perfect if you want to make a little weekend getaway out of it.

If you’d prefer a more nostalgic, small-town feel, Downtown Tomball is adorable and full of charm. Main Street has mom-and-pop restaurants, antique shops, and that old-Texas vibe. It’s about 30–35 minutes from the venue, so it’s a bit more of a drive but such a cute option and Amber's roots.
